    Short Term Visas (Category C)

Category C Schengen visa is the most common type of visa and is mainly intended for tourism, business trips and family visits. With this visa, travelers are allowed to stay in the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days out of 180 days.

Transit Visa (Category A and B)

Transit visas are special visas intended only for transit in the Schengen zone and are divided into two main categories:

Category A Visa (Airport Transit Visa): This visa is issued only to stay in the transit zone at international airports. Holders of this visa can wait for their flight from the airport of one Schengen country to another country without entering the Schengen area or crossing the border. Category A visa does not give the right to enter the Schengen zone and only requires not to go outside the transit zone of the airport.

Category B Visa (Land Transit Visa): This visa is intended for travelers traveling through the Schengen area to another country. Travelers with a category B visa can cross the Schengen zone by car, train or bus.

    Long Term Visas (Category D)

Category D Schengen visa is issued for long-term travel or residence purposes. This type of visa is intended for those who wish to stay in the Schengen zone for more than six months and allows travelers to live, work or study in that country. It is also possible to travel to other Schengen countries with this type of visa, but the main place of residence is required to be in the country that issued the visa.

    Documents required for Schengen visa

Applying for a Schengen visa is a process that requires attention and precision. It is important that the applicant submits certain documents that clearly show the purpose of travel and financial status.
