The three-room one-story house began operating as a house-museum on a public basis in 1956 at the initiative of the wife of the prominent playwright, Sona Khanum Jabbarli.

Located in the territory of Khizi and Siyazan districts, the park covers an area of 11,035 hectares. The territory of Altiaghaj National Park consists of mountain forests, mountain meadows and semi-desert. The park's flora includes oak, alder, birch, hawthorn, barberry, juniper, Caucasian violet, sharp-edged iris, etc. Among the fauna species, brown bear, lynx, European roe deer, bearded vulture, wolf, wild boar, quail, raccoon, hare, fox, squirrel, blackbird, etc. animal and bird species are found.
