The remains of the ancient copper plant located in the village of Galakand reflect the development of industry in the region during the 19th century. Built as a result of the activities of the Siemens brothers, this plant was considered one of the largest metallurgical enterprises in the Caucasus. The remains of the plant are still preserved today as a living witness to Gadabay’s industrial history.
