- New Year – January 1-2 (Wednesday and Thursday): The first two days of the new year are officially non-working days in the country.
- International Women's Day – March 8 (Saturday): International Women's Day will once again be celebrated as a special day in 2025.
- Novruz Holiday – March 20-24 (Thursday - Monday): Novruz marks the arrival of spring and symbolizes the awakening of nature. It is celebrated as a five-day public holiday.
- Ramadan Holiday – March 30-31 (Sunday - Monday): Ramadan Holiday will be observed on March 30-31 this year. This sacred holiday unites people around the values of unity, sharing, and compassion.
- Victory Day – May 9 (Friday): Victory Day over fascism is commemorated every year in the country and is recognized as a public holiday.

- Armed Forces Day – June 26 (Friday): Armed Forces Day is celebrated as a state holiday in Azerbaijan.
- State Independence Day – October 18 (Saturday): This day marks the restoration of Azerbaijan’s state independence.
- Constitution Day – November 12 (Wednesday): Constitution Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan is recognized as a non-working holiday.
- International Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis – December 31 (Tuesday): The year concludes with International Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis.
Effective planning of holidays and days off
Based on the 2025 calendar of working days and holidays, ideal dates for travel plans can be determined. Long holidays such as New Year (January 1-6), Novruz (March 20-24), Ramadan (March 30-31) and Eid al-Adha (June 6-7) are favorable periods for travel. March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 are Novruz holidays in 2025. Since March 22 and 23 fall on Saturday and Sunday, March 25 and 26 will be non-working days according to the Labor Code.
