Travelling to Kuwait during COVID-19 pandemic

Negative RT-PCR (swab) test valid 72 hours from the time/date of test to the time of acceptance on the

flight obtained from a local government accredited lab. This does not apply to children below 6 years old.

Negative PCR test results must be obtained from a lab accredited to MUNA system – Results from other labs shouldn’t be honored.

MUNA accredited lab list is available in KM passenger platform.

  • GCC Nationals with valid passports

Immunized Category (Must adhere to immunization conditions)

Allowed to enter by meeting the following requirements;

  1. This does not apply to children below 6 years old.
  2. Complete registration in SHLONIK application.
  3. Complete Registration in KM platform according to the flight number and date.
  4. Subject to 7 days home quarantine. They can end the quarantine by performing one PCR test (at own cost) in the State of Kuwait.
  • Non-Kuwaiti passengers with valid visa/residence Immunized Category :

Nationals of Israel are not allowed to enter and transit.

Non-immunized Category not allowed to Enter.

No visa on arrival facility at Kuwait International Airport . Suspension of visa on arrival facilities.

This does not apply to non- immunized minors Below 16 years travelling along with their IMMUNIZED

parents.

Allowed to enter by meeting the following requirements;

Non-immunized Category Not Allowed to enter.

Passengers are allowed to enter:

- nationals of Kuwait;

- children, husbands and wives of nationals of Kuwait;

- nationals of Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with

  1. AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria)
  2. Janssen
  3. Moderna
  4. Pfizer-BioNTec (Comirnaty) and their accompanying children younger than 16 years;

Plus one booster dose showed from 1 to 4 on below vaccines:

7.Sputnik V

Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure.

(This does not apply to passengers younger than 6 years.)

  • Passengers are subject to medical screening.
  • Passengers should install "Shlonik" and "Kuwait-Mosafer" applications on their personal device.
  • Suspension of visa on arrival facilities.
  • Passengers must register online before departure at https://kuwaitmosafer.gov.kw/home.html
  • Passengers are subject to 2 PCR tests at their own expense upon arrival. They must have a payment confirmation obtained at https://kuwaitmosafer.gov.kw/home.html before departure.
  • Passengers could be subject to quarantine at a hotel or home-quarantine for up to 7 days.
  • Passengers must have a confirmed hotel reservation booked for 7 days at https://kuwaitmosafer.com/home.html before departure.

(This does not apply to passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTec (Comirnaty),Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V with booster dose)

  •  Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued in Kuwait must present the certificate through the Immune app, or Kuwait Mobile ID app, or Kuwait-mosafer app.
  •  Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued outside of Kuwait must:

- have a QR code on the certificate; or

- upload the certificate at https://vaxcert.moh.gov.kw/SPCMS/PH/CVD_19_Vaccine_External_Registration.aspx .
