AZAL opens direct flights from Baku to Jeddah

April 17, 2017, Baku – Azerbaijan Airlines will start direct flights from Baku to the second largest city in Saudi Arabia - Jeddah starting from September this year.

Jeddah is considered the economic capital of Saudi Arabia, and also the largest city in the administrative district of Mecca. Jeddah International Airport (JED) is one of the main transit points for pilgrims and tourists.

Flights to Jeddah will be carried out on Thursdays and Sundays with comfortable Airbus A320 airplanes with economy and business class cabins.

Direct flights to Jeddah will be unique in the region and conveniently connected to other flights of "Azerbaijan Airlines". This will allow to plan convenient transit flights from the European countries and the CIS through Heydar Aliyev International Airport, which according to the prestigious British agency Skytrax, was named the best airport in the territory of former Soviet Union.
