Flying with “Azerbaijan Airlines” passengers are offered following conditions of free allowed baggage carriage:
“Azerbaijan Airlines” reserve the right to refuse the baggage transportation the weight of which exceeds the allowed shown in the air ticket. Due to this you are asked to inform the carrier during the reservation in case if the carried baggage exceeds the limits set by rules of free baggage transportation.
The rules with new checked baggage allowances for the international routes will come into force as of 20.02.12 (sale) and 01.06.12 (flight)
- for business class – 40 kg of checked baggage and pieces of hand luggage 5 kg each (total 10 kg);
- foe economy class - 20 kg of checked baggage and 1 piece of 5 kg hand luggage;
- for infants without seat – 10 kg of hand luggage and which may be carried as hand luggage in case if there is enough free space inside of cabin.
Notice:
1. there are also different levels of free allowed baggage amount which are shown inside of ticket under “Allow” column.
2. the weight of each piece of baggage shall not exceed 32 kg. The piece of baggage exceeding 32 kg may be accepted for carriage only in case of advanced notification to carrier and confirmation immediately after ticket purchase. The exceeding piece of baggage will be either decomposed to lighter pieces or refused for transportation by carrier.
The total dimensions of each piece of baggage should not exceed 203 cm (80in) (height+width+length). Any piece of baggage exceeding the dimensions of 203 cm may not be accepted as accompanied baggage in case if such information has not been submitted to the carrier during ticket purchase and relevant confirmation received from carrier accordingly.
Disregarding of class of services a free baggage transportation on transatlantic routes to USA and Canada is divided into 2 pieces each of them shall not exceed 158 cm in total dimensions and 23 kg weight.
The total dimensions of hand luggage shall not exceed 115 cm (55x20x40) which will allow to place your luggage under your seat or on the rack above your seat.
